If you are using Notebooks on an iPhone or iPod touch which still runs on iOS 4, you were probably hit by a unpleasant issue in Notebooks 5: whenever you tried to create or edit a note you were sent back to the home screen. The reason for that issue is the new “tap once to edit” (in contrast to tap twice to edit in previous versions), which works on iOS 5 only. We knew that and tried to make sure that iOS 4 falls back to the previous strategy, and this is where we ran into a trap: the technique we use to test our new gesture is supported works as expected on iOS 4.3, but fails on earlier iOS versions…
We corrected the issue in Notebooks 5.0.1, which is currently waiting for review at Apple.

Even if I stated that elsewhere already: we are extremely sorry for that!

(iPad users are not affected by this issue.)

What iOS version is your iPad running on? Is it still 4.3?
