This is a minor update that primarily addresses a glitch that crept in with iOS 11.0.1.

Correction

Changing a task’s due date or a document’s title from the Info pane works as expected again.

Improvement

Notebooks 8.7.2 is much more cautious about asking users for a rating on the App Store (it was never our intention to bother users with too many pops, so we’re sorry for that).

Thank you for this! I adore Notebook & champion your efforts to be better than the rest: your app being MORE sensitive to users. Other apps I use, ask me too often to rate them upon opening the app: when I’m trying to remember data from another site to create new record: Calendar, To Do, etc. or, to ‘paste’ data I’d saved from previous site. Worst possible time to ask for rating! Annoying the use by ‘rude’ requests for rating reduces Honest responses and hurts responses from users like myself who use Notebook several hours each day.

      Dear Melinda,

thanks a lot for your feedback. Regarding rotation when opening an app, this seems to be an iOS 11 issue, just as if iOS was unable to decide about the current orientation.

Ratings: here we – and I guess many others – are fighting with a new tool provided by iOS. The dialog is presented by iOS, but it pops up too frequently. We’re still trying to optimize that, because we really don’t want to annoy our users…

      Best,
      Alfons
