Who we are

We are the creators of Notebooks, an application for all your writing and note taking needs with integrated document and task management, available on macOS, iOS and Windows. Our website address is https://www.notebooksapp.com.

What personal data we collect in our applications on iOS, macOS and Windows

In short, we do not collect any personal data in any of our applications.

All information and documents you add to Notebooks remain in Notebooks and on your device. No single piece of information is shared or exported unless you decide to back up your documents to your computer or sync them to an external server like iCloud, Dropbox or a WebDAV server. Even in these cases, we (as the makers of Notebooks) are not involved and don’t receive any information about your setup or you data and documents.

Some desktop versions of Notebooks (the ones that are not sold through the Mac App Store) briefly check a document on this website on startup to detect if an app update is available. This is a convenience function, but users can disable it in Notebooks’ settings. We do not analyze details about this update check.
